And so our love's not a simple thing
Nor our truths unwavering
But like the moon's pull on the tide
Our fingers touch our hearts collide
I'll be a moonsbreath by your side

Can anyone recommend some good speakers under say... $200 for my computer? My last 3 sets have been crap, and I'm ready for some that actually work. Preferably speakers with a sub. Other than that AI don't much care. If they also work with just an iPod, that's cool too.

How much money do I have to spend on speakers to get a pair that DON'T sound like my songs are underwater?

Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

life is a b movie
it's stupid and it's strange
it's a directionless story
the dialog is lame
but in the he said she said
sometimes there's some poetry
if you turn your back long enough
and let it happen naturally

hell yeah
oh hell yeah...

Hello all.

Does anyone have a vet in the area local to South Hadley that they can recommend? Sumi has had a squinty, painful looking eye since yesterday morning and I want to make sure she's ok. Also, the one I had been going to hasn't called about her annual checkup yet this year, and they're in Florence anyway. So, time for a new vet! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated - I'll take word of mouth over internet searching any day.

Thanks!

So Ani failed... didn't end up going (and am kicking myself).

Anyone interested in KT Tunstall Monday at the Calvin? I love one of her songs and honestly don't know what the rest of her stuff is like, but tickets aren't expensive and I'd be up for going if anyone else was interested :)

O the dragons are gonna fly tonight
They're circling low and inside tonight
It's another round in the losing fight
Out along the great divide tonight

We are aging soldiers in an ancient war
Seeking out some half remembered shore
We drink our fill and still we thirst for more
Asking if there's no heaven what is this hunger for?

Our path is worn our feet are poorly shod
We lift up our prayer against the odds
And fear the silence is the voice of God

And we cry Allelujah Allelujah
We cry Allelujah

Sorrow is constant and the joys are brief
The seasons come and bring no sweet relief
Time is a brutal but a careless theif
Who takes our lot but leaves behind the grief

It is the heart that kills us in the end
Just one more old broken bone that cannot mend
As it was now and ever shall be amen

And we cry Allelujah Allelujah
We cry Allelujah

So there'll be no guiding light for you and me
We are not sailors lost out on the sea
We were always headed toward eternity
Hoping for a glimpse of Gaililee

Like falling stars from the universe we are hurled
Down through the long loneliness of the world
Until we behold the pain become the pearl...

The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you
The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you.
On a dark new year's night
On the west coast of Clare
I hear your voice singing
Your eyes danced the song
Your hands played the tune
             T'was a vision before me.
We left the music behind and the dance carried on
As we stole away to the seashore
We smelt the brine, felt the wind in our hair
With sadness you paused.

Suddenly I knew that you'd have to go
Your world was not mine, your eyes told me so
Yet it was there I felt the crossroads of time
And I wondered why.

As we cast our gaze on the tumbling sea
A vision came o'er me
Of thundering hooves and beating wings
In clouds above.

As you turned to go I heard you call my name.
You were like a bird in a cage, spreading its wings to fly
"The old ways are lost" you sang as you flew
And I wondered why.

The thundering waves are calling me home, home to you

The pounding sea is calling me home, home to you.

Other downright incredible (steam punk type) pieces at the Etsy store by LiquidSolution.

-->Check out her sold items too -- there are some gorgeous ones! She never has much for sale at one time, but is constantly updating. And she is SO nice and SO responsive... I emailed her last Wednesday about the possibility of commissioning a piece... and she had this made by Sunday!  I can't say enough good things about her and her art, and I haven't even seen this piece in person yet... OOOH I can't wait!

It is an interesting and positive thing to discover that, all things considered, you actually respect yourself as a person.
